Bereavement Care
Care At Your Side
At Our Hospice, we are committed to providing expert guidance and education, focusing on the process of grieving and bereavement. Bereavement is a natural part of life, often encountered after losing a loved one but also during various life changes. We recognize that everyone’s journey with loss is personal, but remember, you’re not alone – we’re here to support you.
Our Bereavement Care extends specialized assistance to adults, children, and families. This support serves as a bridge, connecting you with others who have journeyed through similar loss. Our dedicated care is overseen and assisted by licensed bereavement professionals and social workers
Beginning Again Program
We offer a constant support group for adults on the path of grief. We share helpful insights and resources for managing grief at your own pace. Our warm sessions address various aspects of grief, from preserving memories to handling stress. Open to all, including Our Hospice patients' loved ones & community members, this service is free of charge.
Transformers
We offer a nurturing support group for children aged 5-12 and their families/caregivers. Connect with others who have also experienced a loss, share common journeys, and learn valuable coping strategies. In-between sessions, we provide in-home activities as additional resources to reinforce the support we give.
Our sessions occur on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, from 5pm-6pm at St. Peter's Lutheran Church & School.
Camp Eva
Our annual children's grief camp, held every September, welcomes children aged 5-12 who have lost a loved one. Guided by our Bereavement Specialist and team, the camp at a local site blends interactive activities with learning, remembrance, and sharing. Pre-register with David Dopson.
Other Bereavment Services
Enjoy regular contact with our bereavement team, thoughtful cards, tailored grief-related readings, and access to our grief literature library.
