Hospice has an expertise in providing care to individuals with an advanced illness such as:
- Neurological Disorders (e.g., ALS)
An important factor contributing to the growth of Hospice programs nationwide is that the concept of Hospice care has become widely recognized as an integral part of the health care system. In the early years, Hospice care was most closely associated with cancer patients. While cancer patients still account for a majority of the patients served, an increasing number of patients with other advanced illnesses are cared for by Hospice. Our Hospice is the expert not-for-profit organization specializing in end-of-life care and in the management of pain and related symptoms, regardless of the patient’s diagnosis.
